About Tornspace Films

Keith Parker (Director/Writer of "Shadow People") and Laura Parker (Producer/Writer of "Shadow People") are first time filmmakers. Both graduated from Indiana University (Keith with a B.A. Computer Science, 1993 and Laura with a B.S. in General Studies, 1991) and have been working and living in Indianapolis, Indiana since 1994. Keith has worked in the fields of computer technology and printing while Laura has worked in an academic setting. It was their love of horror movies and telling stories that convinced them to take the leap in 2006 into independent filmmaking.

To prepare, Keith began reading every filmmaking book he could get his hands on and learning tricks of the trade through DVD commentaries by greats such as John Carpenter. Laura put her project management skills to work and organized the administrative and logistical details of the movie. Armed with their knowledge and drive, they made their first feature film, Shadow People, in 2007. They formed a production company - Tornspace Films, LLC - and have several other projects of various genres in the works.
